Why We Need You
As an Agile IT Change Analyst, you will support the Agile IT Change Manager in facilitating the change management process within an Agile environment. You will work closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and IT departments to ensure that changes are assessed, documented, and implemented effectively within Agile frameworks. This role involves analysing change requests, tracking progress, assessing impact, and ensuring that all changes align with Agile principles and organizational goals. Your ability to collaborate with multiple teams and manage change data will be key to maintaining smooth and continuous delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
Change Request Analysis and Documentation:
- Analyse incoming change requests to assess their impact, urgency, and alignment with Agile delivery goals.
- Ensure that all change requests are documented in detail, including requirements, risk assessments, and potential impacts on current Agile workflows.
- Work with stakeholders to clarify change requirements and expectations, ensuring that changes are appropriately prioritized.
Agile Process Integration:
- Collaborate with Agile teams (Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Development Managers) to ensure that changes are integrated into the current sprint cycles and do not disrupt delivery timelines.
- Support the Agile IT Change Manager in aligning changes with Agile processes (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), ensuring that changes are tracked, planned, and delivered effectively within iterations.
- Ensure changes are evaluated and validated in line with Agile ceremonies such as sprint reviews, planning, and retrospectives.
Impact and Risk Assessment:
- Assist in the identification and assessment of risks related to proposed changes, ensuring that their impact on Agile workflows and ongoing projects is understood.
- Help teams analyse the impact of changes on delivery goals, resource allocation, and project timelines.
- Work with development teams to identify potential blockers or dependencies related to changes, ensuring that these are addressed proactively.
Change Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track the progress of changes through their lifecycle, ensuring that they are delivered on time and in accordance with Agile principles.
- Report on change progress to stakeholders, providing regular updates on status, issues, and potential delays.
- Maintain detailed records of change activities, including documentation of approvals, impact assessments, and outcomes.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between IT teams, business stakeholders, and the Agile IT Change Manager to ensure clear communication and understanding of change requirements.
- Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed regarding change impacts and progress.
- Communicate potential risks or issues related to change requests in a timely manner, escalating them when necessary.
Continuous Improvement:
- Assist in the identification of opportunities for improvement in the change management process, with a focus on Agile practices.
- Provide feedback and insights from change activities to help improve change management workflows and support continuous process improvement.
- Participate in Agile retrospectives and contribute to discussions on improving the effectiveness of change management in Agile environments.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience as a Change Analyst, IT Business Analyst, or similar role in an Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and experience working within Agile frameworks.
- Familiarity with ITIL change management processes, ideally in an Agile context.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk, impact, and requirements for changes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and change management systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe )
- ITIL Foundation or similar IT service management certification.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic IT environment with a focus on continuous delivery.
- Background in software development, IT operations, or technical delivery.
