Why We Need You
As an Agile PMO (Project Management Office) Analyst, you will support the Agile PMO in providing oversight, coordination, and governance for Agile projects across the organization. You will work closely with Agile squads, project managers, and senior leadership to ensure that projects are aligned with organisational goals, Agile practices, and delivery expectations. This role involves tracking project progress, analysing key metrics, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring transparency and communication across teams. You will play a key role in enhancing Agile practices, supporting continuous improvement, and helping to ensure the successful delivery of projects within Agile frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor and track the progress of Agile projects, ensuring that key metrics such as velocity, sprint burndown, and cycle time are reported accurately.
- Provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and key milestones.
- Ensure that project documentation (e.g., project plans, risk logs, and action items) is accurate and up to date.
- Support the Agile PMO in reporting on overall portfolio health, ensuring transparency and visibility across multiple projects.
Agile Process Support:
- Assist in the implementation and standardization of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) across the organization.
- Support Agile teams by facilitating the adoption of best practices in project management and Agile processes.
- Ensure that Agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) are taking place effectively and that teams have the necessary tools and support for successful execution.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure that projects comply with Agile governance frameworks and organizational standards.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project governance structures, ensuring that processes and roles are well-defined.
- Track project risks, dependencies, and issues, escalating them as needed to ensure timely resolution and effective decision-making.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as a liaison between Agile teams and business stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment on project goals, priorities, and deliverables.
- Provide support to stakeholders in understanding Agile methodologies and project progress.
- Coordinate and communicate between different departments to ensure that all resources, dependencies, and requirements are accounted for.
Metrics and Continuous Improvement:
- Collect and analyze Agile performance data to identify trends, potential areas for improvement, and ways to optimize delivery performance.
- Assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for Agile teams and projects.
- Participate in retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives to help refine Agile processes and support the maturity of Agile practices within the organization.
Documentation and Knowledge Management:
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of Agile projects, including project plans, risk assessments, and change logs.
- Ensure that all project-related information is easily accessible and shared across teams.
- Support the Agile PMO in maintaining best practices and knowledge repositories for Agile project management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Agile Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role supporting Agile projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and their application within project management.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project) and Agile tracking software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and report on key project metrics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks and project management best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent).
- Experience in a PMO or in supporting multiple concurrent Agile projects within an enterprise environment.
- Background in project management, change management, or IT service management.
- Experience with Agile portfolio management and reporting.
