Why We Need You
As a Senior Software Architect, you will take the lead in designing high-performance, secure, and scalable payment systems—specializing in peer-to-peer (P2P) and cryptocurrency transactions—for iGaming platforms across Southeast Asia (including Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam). You will drive architecture and innovation across diverse, distributed teams, ensuring reliable, low-latency, and compliant payment flows for gaming customers. English is the primary business language, but knowledge of major Asian languages (Chinese, Thai, Cambodian, Vietnamese) is highly valued for regional collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Architect and Develop Advanced Payment Solutions
  Lead end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of payment systems supporting fiat, P2P, and cryptocurrency transactions for cross-border iGaming platforms.
  
• Ensure Security and Compliance
  Integrate anti-fraud mechanisms, ensure PCI DSS compliance, and implement KYC/AML procedures adaptable to local and international regulations.
  
• Optimize for Performance and Scalability
  Build and tune systems for extremely high concurrency, low latency, and reliability under peak gaming loads.
  
• Lead Crypto Payment Integrations
  Implement and maintain secure integrations with major cryptocurrencies, wallets, and on/off ramps, ensuring regulatory compliance and seamless user experiences.
  
• Collaborate Across Functions and Geographies
  Work with product, engineering, security, compliance, and business teams across multiple countries and time zones.
  
• Mentor and Guide Distributed Teams
  Oversee technical talent, set coding standards, and promote best practices for architecture and secure payment development.
  
• Drive Innovation
  Stay ahead of fintech and crypto trends, adopting emerging protocols, chain integrations, and regional payment innovations.
  
• Manage Technical Risks
  Identify and address architectural bottlenecks, security risks, and ensure business continuity for all payment systems.

What You Bring to the Team

• 8+ years of robust software development experience, at least 5 years in software/system architecture.
  
• Practical experience designing and deploying payment systems within iGaming or high velocity fintech environments.
  
• Deep hands-on experience in:
  * Integrating and supporting P2P payment features.
  * Working with Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other major blockchain protocols for payment and settlement.
  * Multiple payment processors, e-wallets, and crypto on/off ramps.
• Strong command of at least one relevant language (Java, C#, C++, Python, Node.js, Vue, Angular or Node.js), including experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
  
• Prior success scaling payment infrastructure for high concurrency and multi-region low-latency environments.
  
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for service orchestration in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Ali Cloud).
  
• Advanced understanding of relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases for ledgering, audit, and real-time analytics.
  
• Strong familiarity with security standards (PCI DSS, OWASP), data encryption, and anti-fraud/risk strategies.
  
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor distributed engineering teams across Southeast Asia.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, and a collaborative approach to cross-cultural team management.
  
• Strong written and verbal English; proficiency in any major Southeast Asian language a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Direct involvement in launching crypto or hybrid (fiat/crypto) payment systems in iGaming or fintech.
  
• Familiarity with local payment processors and regulatory environments in Southeast Asia.
  
• Previous participation in regulatory audits or crypto compliance reviews.
  

Experience with event sourcing, CQRS patterns, or blockchain data indexing technologies.
