Why We Need You
We are looking for an experienced and innovative Office Operations IoT Lead to manage and drive IoT initiatives across our organization, from conception to execution. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role for someone who is passionate about embedded systems, wireless connectivity, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll supervise technical teams, ensure service reliability, and align IoT operations with business needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a high-performing IoT operations team
- Set clear team objectives and KPIs; provide regular coaching and performance feedback
- Promote continuous skill development and training
Technical Support & Issue Resolution
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including resolution of incidents and service requests
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and advanced troubleshooting
- Ensure timely resolution of software and hardware problems across devices
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Collaborate with IT teams (Network, Infrastructure, Security) for seamless operations
- Serve as the primary liaison for key stakeholders and end users
- Communicate clearly and transparently to manage expectations
Process Optimization & Documentation
- Develop and enforce standardized operating procedures and best practices
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge base, asset records, and documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality
Asset Management
- Manage and track IT hardware and software inventory
- Coordinate procurement, repair, and warranty workflows
- Ensure compliance with licensing and internal asset policies
Security & Compliance
- Enforce endpoint security standards: antivirus, patch management, etc.
- Ensure alignment with data privacy regulations and IT governance policies
Reporting & Insights
- Maintain performance metrics and dashboards for the IoT support function
- Report regularly on resolution times, system performance, and user satisfaction
- Provide actionable insights to senior IT leadership
What You Bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Support Technician, or similar role
- In-depth technical knowledge of Windows, macOS, mobile devices, and hardware
- Proficiency with virtualization (DaaS) and cloud computing
- Solid understanding of embedded systems and wireless communication protocols
- Experience with productivity and collaboration tools like Microsoft 365, Trello, Jira, Zoom
- Familiarity with network architecture, routing, and network management tools
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving tech environment
Preferred Certifications
- ITIL Foundations
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator
- CompTIA A+ or CompTIA Network+
